Earth Coaching Wins FSB East of England Diversity and Inclusion Award

Over the past few years, Earth Coaching has grown into something much bigger than I originally imagined.

What started as a small coaching practice rooted in wellbeing, sustainability and nature has become a space where neurodivergent, chronically ill and LGBTQ+ people can access support that feels genuinely inclusive, affirming and adaptable to who they are.

I’m incredibly grateful to have recently been recognised as the winner of the FSB Diversity and Inclusion Award for the East of England region.

Receiving this award means a great deal, not simply because it recognises the business itself, but because it highlights the importance of creating spaces where people do not have to mask, push through burnout, or fit themselves into rigid expectations to be supported.

Inclusion

At Earth Coaching, inclusion has never been an afterthought or a marketing exercise. It shapes every part of how I work.

That includes:

  • offering flexible and accessible coaching approaches

  • providing online, telephone, camera-off and walk-and-talk sessions in nature

  • adapting support around energy levels, access needs and lived experience

  • using inclusive and affirming language

  • creating psychologically safe spaces where people can show up authentically

Many of the people I work with have spent years trying to fit into systems, workplaces or wellbeing approaches that were never designed with them in mind. Coaching often becomes the first place where they feel able to stop performing, stop apologising for their needs, and begin building ways of living and working that are genuinely sustainable.

Diversity

Currently:

  • 47.8% of clients are neurodivergent

  • 36.66% live with chronic illness

  • 15.8% live with anxiety and/or depression

  • 63% identify as LGBTQ+

  • 58% access coaching through Access to Work funding

These statistics are not just numbers to me. They reflect real people looking for support that acknowledges the impact of burnout, discrimination, systemic barriers and the pressure to constantly keep up.

One of the things I care most deeply about is challenging the idea that success must come at the expense of well-being.

Toxic Productivity Culture

So much of modern work culture still rewards overworking, masking and pushing beyond capacity. Earth Coaching takes a different approach, one centred around sustainability, self-advocacy, nervous system safety and creating lives that actually fit people’s energy and circumstances.

Winning this award has given me space to reflect on how important inclusive and accessible support truly is, especially for communities who are often underserved or misunderstood within traditional coaching and wellbeing spaces.

I’m deeply grateful to every client who has trusted me with their stories, experiences and growth over the years. Your honesty, resilience, and willingness to advocate for yourselves continue to shape Earth Coaching into what it is today.

As the business continues to evolve, my hope is to keep creating support that feels:

  • human

  • accessible

  • grounded

  • sustainable

and rooted in genuine inclusion rather than expectation or performance

Thank you to everyone who has supported Earth Coaching so far!
