Bex (they/them) loves being out in nature, exploring creativity and learning new things. A fan of permaculture, Bex values community bonds and growing organic food. Bex's current study focus is on naturopathy and herbalism.

After leaving a career in academia and training as a transformational coach in 2018, Bex moved to Southend-on-Sea, Essex, to be by the coast and to set up Earth Coaching - a coaching practice based in permaculture ethics.

Bex has always been fascinated by the outdoors and has been connected to nature. In 2018, Bex acquired an allotment and became part of a community interested in growing food and cultivating medicinal plants, which led to a keen interest in medical herbalism and naturopathy.

Bex has also long had a passion for the creative arts and produces multidisciplinary work under the name Melted Dice. Having written poetry and performed music since their teens, Bex continues to incorporate the arts into their life and is an active member of Southend Art Club. Nature and herbs feature heavily in Bex's poetry, music and artwork. 

These two passions overlap in Bex's interest in how the arts and nature can be used for healing, self-regulation, and emotional well-being. This continues to inform their Earth Coaching practice and client work, as well as their creative practice at Melted Dice and their community outreach project, The Trans+ Herbal Healthcare Project.

    Earth Coaching

    Bex supports neurodivergent, chronically ill, and LGBTQ+ people to build sustainable ways of living and working that fit their energy, reduce burnout, and feel more manageable day-to-day. Nature-based coaching grounded in lived experience and professional expertise.

    Bex is now training to be a naturopath and herbalist.

    The Trans+ Herbal Healthcare Project

    The Trans+ Herbalism Project is an independent initiative bringing clinical rigour, trauma-informed principles, and neuro-affirming literacy to botanical medicine.

    We explore evidence-informed herbal healthcare specifically tailored for trans, non-binary, intersex and neurodivergent communities, with a focus on complex chronic conditions and connective tissue disorders.

    Melted Dice

    Melted Dice is the interdisciplinary practice of Bex, an artist working across music, poetry, zines, and visual art.

    The work explores power, survival, intimate partner violence, LGBTQ+ identity, and resistance through feminist and anti-capitalist perspectives.
